Cookie Policy

ReceiptMapper uses only what it needs to run. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, so there is no cookie banner to accept or decline.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. They let a site remember who you are between pages. Some are strictly necessary for a site to work, others measure use or serve ads. We use only the first kind.
What we set
| Name | What it does | Type | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
rm_session | Keeps you signed in. Holds a random session token (we store only its hash). | Strictly necessary. HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Lax. | 30 days, or until you log out or delete your account |
What we save in your browser
| Key | What it does | Where | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
theme | Remembers whether you chose light or dark mode. | Local storage | Until you clear your browser data |
This is a preference only. It is never sent to our servers.
Third parties
- Stripe. When you press a buy button you leave our site for Stripe's hosted checkout. Stripe sets its own cookies there to process the payment and prevent fraud. They are governed by Stripe's privacy policy.
- Cloudflare. Our site is delivered through Cloudflare. Cloudflare may set a security cookie, such as one that tells humans from bots, to protect the site. It is not used to track you across sites.
We do not embed social media widgets, advertising scripts or analytics tools.
Managing cookies
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block the session cookie you will not be able to stay signed in. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle personal data.
Changes
If we ever add cookies that need your consent, we will add a banner and update this page first.
